It's Been Awhile....

Maxx is eight months old now, he's had all his shots and vacs, rabies shot and tested for worms, he's all healthy and active. He learned how to swim in the ocean. It is so adorable! I'm so glad I got him for Christmas, he brings so much joy and happiness to my life. He's almost potty trained which is excellent!

Teeth .

Maxx had his 4 month birthday Saturday February 5, 2009, he's finally starting to lose his baby teeth. He's already lost 4 teeth. He looks like a little snaggle tooth walking around. And all 4 adult teeth are already coming in. It's so crazy, and he should have all his adult teeth in at least 2 months. We have all 4 teeth. And I'm going to make a scrapbook of his collars, pictures, and his teeth.

A few weeks ago we took him to this nature preserve called Willie Browns. It was a lot of fun, i hadn't hiked in such a long time, and it was nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Maxx loved all the new smells and being able to walk were ever he wanted. We went to the highest point in Jacksonville and man was i tired when we got there, and very thirsty. Next time i will have to bring my camera and take pictures.

Today, we went to Atlantic beach, because they have dog access during the day, unlike Neptune beach. We walked all the way to Hannah Park and walked back in the trails. Maxx got in the ocean water for the first time in his life. He really enjoyed it, it was just a little bit to cold of water. I can't wait until summer, to take him swimming.

He's finally learning how to do tricks. Such as sitting, laying down, staying, and coming on command.

I'm so very proud of him. He's not the best at it but he's learning.

Dog Tag

Today, Todd and I went to Hardee's to grab a bite to eat. I have never been there, but it was pretty good.

It was close to the Petco, and my mom bought me some tokens for a dog tag for Maxx. The last time I was there, the one I wanted was sold out. So I was hoping that today they would have it. Luckly they did. So now Maxx has a dog tag. It's really neat because I've never used one before. You can watch the tag being engraved with the information you put on it. And it only takes about 5 minutes.

We got home, ate our food, feed and walked Maxx, then I put his new tag on him. He was so freaked out by it. It was so funny he was trying to rub it off his collar, and chew it off. He didn't no what was going on. After 30 minutes he finally got used to it.

Tonight, Maxx got ahold of a beer box and had a blast playing with it. Throughing it around the room, chasing it. Untill, he got it stuck on his head it was the funniest thing in the world. He was running into walls, tables, people. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Once I finally took it off, he climbed up on the couch with me and fell asleep.

Pet Supermarket

Last week, Todd and I went up to Pet Supermarket and got Maxx some stuff and looked around at all the stuff they had in there.

So i got him a Pedi-Paws. Which on the television chimerical the pets are all calm and sit in your lap. Well, I don't know if he's to young to use it on him, but he freaks out. He acts like we're trying to kill him and it doesn't hurt him, I think it just scares him. I also got him a new coller because the one he had was too tight around his chest, it's just so crazy because it feels like i just got him yesterday and now he's growing up. Todd got him a pig ear which he loves we broke it up into pieces cause it's way too big for him. Todd also got him a new squeaky toy.

Today, Mr. and Mrs. Wiker [Todd's parents] came over and bought Maxx a Harley Davidson bandanna, a new Harley Davidson collar, toe nail clippers, and a brush. He is going to be such a spoiled little dog.

Learning how to jump.

It's so funny watching Maxx learn how to jump. He tries to jump on the couch where he's not supposed to be unless he's laying on someone. But today he actually made it up on the couch by himself but he only does it when someone sitting there. He also does it when he's tired because he doesn't like being alone when he sleeps. He always has to be touching someone when he sleeps, even if it's just your foot he's touching. If he's laying against any part of your body and you move and wake right up and move with you. He really is a good puppy, I wouldn't trade him in for anything.

Marley & Me.

After watching Marley and Me today it gave me the inspiration to start writing about Maxx my puppy, like Owen Wilson did for his job as a columnist. It turned out to be a good thing for him in the movie so i was thinking maybe i should do that to. Who knows maybe one day I'll become a writer?

So, lets start it off from tonight after i got home from the movies with my Mom and my little sister Kassidy. I had just heated up some chicken nuggets from the night before and i put some ketchup in the box they came in. I was sitting in the recliner and Todd my boyfriend had Maxx our puppy in his lap on the couch. The next thing I no Maxx is sitting in my ketchup! It was all over his paws, all over me, and all over the chair I was sitting in. So then, I had to set my food down whip his paws off put him back on the ground and get me some new ketchup for my chicken nuggets.
